The
provisions of this chapter are applicable only in counties having a population
of more than sixty-eight thousand (68,000). Applies
to the following counties: Anderson, Blount, Bradley, Davidson, Hamilton, Knox,
Madison, Maury, Montgomery, Sevier, Shelby, Sumner, Wilson. On October 1,
2008 includes the following counties: Sullivan, Washington, Rutherford, and
Williamson for rental agreements entered into, extended, or renewed on or after
October 1, 2008. Another reason laws are so confusing in the US.
