The
Michigan
State Housing Development Authority, established in
1966, provides financial and technical assistance through public and private
partnerships to create and preserve safe and decent affordable housing, engage
in community economic development activities, develop vibrant cities, towns
and villages, and address homeless issues.

MSHDA
provides many options for renters, these programs are
administered by MSHDA's Housing Voucher Programs, Community
Development, and Multi-Family Divisions. Each division has
several programs with unique qualifications and requirements
|

The
MSHDA Office of Existing Housing provides rental assistance
throughout the State of Michigan in the form of subsidies,
through the Housing
Choice Voucher (HCV) Program,
to more than 24,000 very low-income households that meet
eligibility criteria established by the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
